Summary:
This role is responsible for designing and executing lending products and pricing strategies to drive revenue and profitability within Regional Banking. The position focuses on identifying innovative opportunities to grow credit balances at optimal yields. It also oversees portfolio and pricing analytics, and manages the evaluation and performance of business banking credit products
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Analyze and forecast current and emerging business trends to guide strategic decisions.
- Lead cross-functional teams (Technology, Legal, Finance, Treasury, Sales Support, Marketing, Training, Customer Service, and Business Segments) in executing business cases.
- Collaborate with sales teams to develop pricing scenarios and structure deals aligned with relationship profitability goals.
- Independently assess monthly performance vs. plan; review rate drivers and update forecasts for the month, quarter, and year.
- Monitor key metrics weekly, including competitor rates, macroeconomic indicators, internal trends, and pricing thresholds.
- Communicate updates on scenarios, risks, rate changes, market positioning, and financial impacts through meetings and internal channels.
- Share insights on competitive intelligence, price elasticity, and break-even analysis to support sales growth, cross-sell, and retention strategies.
- Partner with Marketing to develop and implement marketing plans that support balance and revenue goals.
- Provide reporting and analysis on exception processes and ensure compliance with risk tolerances.
- Regularly extract and analyze data to generate pricing and sales insights and evaluate pricing test effectiveness.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 5 years of product management, product development, pricing, forecasting, or financial analysis experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience managing or leading business banking lending products
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to extract, analyze, and translate data into actionable strategies
- Effective decision-making and negotiation skills to develop mutually beneficial pricing strategies
- Proven ability to foster a collaborative team environment
- Knowledge of financial market trends, competitor analysis, and internal performance metrics
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to develop working relationships with individuals at all levels of an organization
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
