Strategic Process Consultant

Description

The Process Solutions Consultant - Senior provides support on key projects, supporting business segment-driven, enterprise wide, complex, highly visible and/or cross-functional strategic initiatives. Project support will range from ensuring project scope and requirements are clearly defined, traceable, tracking back to the business case, project status reporting, data analysis, mapping of the current and future state environment, identifying improvement opportunities, and managing various aspects of the projects as assigned. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate End-to-End Process Reviews
    • Map current-state processes, pain points, controls, and hand-offs using Lean/ Six Sigma techniques (SIPOC, value-stream mapping, RACI, etc.)
    • Lead workshops that bring relationship managers, product partners, credit, operations, risk and technology together to create a shared view of opportunities
  • Design Future-State Operating Models
    • Translate strategic objectives (growth, CX, risk mitigation, cost take-out) into clear design principles
    • Build target-state process flows, capacity models, and KPIs
    • Size benefits (FTE capacity, cycle-time reduction, NPS uplift) and develop implementation roadmaps
  • Drive Execution & Change Adoption
    • Partner with teams across the Commercial Bank and Enterprise functions to convert future-state designs into practical execution plans (both quick wins and longer-term opportunities)
    • Work with Program Managers to track initiative performance; develop scorecards and executive read-outs
  • Strategic Thought Partnership
    • Leverage process expertise and a working understanding of the Commercial Bank to (over time) develop a consultative relationship with key Commercial stakeholders, proactively identifying opportunities to enhance their respective area’s operating model
  • Continuous Improvement Culture
    • Coach process owners in Lean mindsets and basic toolkits and contribute to building an internal community of practice around process excellence

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years project management or process improvement experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong Excel skills for data analysis, testing and data discovery
  • Strong process mapping skills
  • Strong leadership, communication (written and verbal), skills with self confidence to present to senior and executive leadership
  • Self motivated and directed, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously Logical problem solver, ability to anticipate next steps and potential road blocks
  • Working knowledge of project management methodologies
  • Working knowledge of Lean, Kaizen, Value-Stream Mapping
  • Strong strategic and financial acumen; able to connect process metrics to P&L and risk outcomes
  • Familiarity with commercial-bank products (C&I lending, treasury management, capital markets)
  • Consulting (strategy, operations, or Lean Six Sigma focused)
  • Commercial-bank operations, credit, treasury, or product management with proven process-improvement assignments
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate cross-functional workshops and lead without authority
  • Excellent communication skills—able to translate complex process details into concise executive storylines
  • Proficient in process-mapping and data-analysis tools
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or related discipline
