Summary:
Huntington Distribution Finance (HDF) is seeking a Sr. Risk Analytics Analyst to join the Risk Analytics team. This individual will lead all activities associated with the maintenance and implementation of credit scoring models in the business. The Analyst will work closely with the Enterprise Modeling team and Underwriting leaders in HDF to optimize the use of decision support models to adjudicate expedited credit lines aligned with approved credit policy and procedures.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide support to the Underwriting function including activities aimed at delivering tools, models, risk rating processes, reporting, and consistency in application of policies/procedures and systems.
- Lead analytical projects and reporting to drive actionable intelligence (e.g. enhancements to credit policies, colleague productivity, etc.)
- Provide data and analysis to support credit risk management and portfolio management.
- Lead and support various Credit and Portfolio Management models utilized by HDF, including day-to-day operations of models as well as on-going model performance monitoring and validation using acquired knowledge of HDF systems and data.
- Execute the monthly Portfolio Management (PM) model and Dual Risk Rating (DRR) update processes, working with HDF departments and external vendors, to ensure accuracy of results and uploading into Inventory Engine.
- Implement semi-annual risk ratings update on App Only portfolio, including execution of batch risk rating process, release of ratings overrides, and updating of risk ratings in Inventory Engine and data warehouse.
- Support HNB’s model development team with requested data files to support the required model monitoring and validation efforts required, including providing model data files, default information and charge-off/loss information.
- Work with HNB’s Model Development team to enhance/re-train models, providing them with data files and explanation of HDF specific usage, as necessary.
- Work with HDF InventoryEngine team, IT and senior management to implement processes and systems to support new or revised models.
- Work with IT to create and/or update data warehouse reporting to support the model management function and implement any changes necessary due to model changes.
- Perform periodic analyses to update tables utilized by the various models to reflect changes in portfolio demographics, performance, and rating methodologies.
- Provide subject matter expert (SME) support to HDF on models, including coordinating, researching, and addressing any issues or questions arising in the day-to-day performance/deployment of the models.
- Oversee HDF’s utilization of HNB’s CreditLens application (financial spreading platform) working closely with HNB’s CreditLens administrators to ensure the HNB CreditLens application is configured to support HDF’s needs.
- Support/Coordinate – API between application and Inventory Engine – as well as oversee daily data extracts of HDF information from CreditLens to HDF data warehouse.
- Coordinate UAT efforts for HDF relating to upgrades/enhancements.
- Coordinate performance/functionality issues arising with HDF’s use of application with HNB’s CreditLens administrators.
- Support to Line 1 & Line 2 Underwriting/Credit leaders, including coordination of information requests/responses from HNB Credit Administration or Regional Credit Officers.
- Support HDF Sales and Portfolio Management teams in responding to Manufacturer requests.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or finance.
- 5+ years of financial services experience.
- Experience in analyzing large amounts of data to drive business insights.
- Experience with core data mining concepts (extracting, cleansing, transforming, analyzing) and applications/software such as advanced Microsoft Excel.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with how programming languages such as SQL are used and managed in data mining including Visual Basic and Alteryx.
- Experience with statistical or machine learning methods in a corporate environment through applications such as R, Python, or SAS.
- Tableau and Powerpoint
- Experience with Salesforce or comparable Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to interact effectively across all organizational levels.
- Creative thinker and problem solver, with a strong ability to manage ambiguity/complexity.
- Work effectively in teams as well as independently across multiple tasks while meeting aggressive timelines.
- Experience working with teams of technical professionals in a cross-functional environment.

Compensation Range:
$70,000 - $154,000 Annual SalaryThe compensation range represents the low and high end of the base compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. Colleagues in this position are also eligible to participate in an applicable incentive compensation plan. In addition, Huntington provides a variety of benefits to colleagues, including health insurance coverage, wellness program, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plan, paid leave programs, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
