The Section Manager of the Loan Boarding team is responsible for managing a team of 16 colleagues that are responsible for boarding and quality review of financial data to AFSVision for all Commercial and CRB loans.  This position requires adherence to Bank Credit, Compliance and Risk guidelines. The manager is responsible for loan set up of the commercial loans received from Commercial, CRB and FRG segments that are serviced on our AFSVision loan accounting system.

Team responsibilities include boarding of loans to the AFSVision system that are originated through Velocity and CLOS. Working closely with key stakeholders to ensure timely setup of financials into AFSVision.  Maintaining data quality through a strong second review process to ensure data is accurate for general ledger and regulatory reporting.  Additionally, the Manager must be able to read and interpret complex legal documentation.  Ability to read and understand underwriting analysis, terms and conditions is a plus.  This team is an Essential Partner to various business areas including the Business Loan Center, Legal, Segment Risk, Finance, and Credit Administration.  Team provides support to Loan Closers, Loan Administrator, Relationship and Portfolio Managers.

Detailed Description:

  • Management of colleagues that setup loans on the AFSVision system following Huntington Policies and Legal standards. 
  • Management of quality review of loans that are boarded to ensure accuracy and prevent a negative customer experience and maintain accuracy of reporting.
  • Understanding of key metrics such as productivity, quality, and service level and coach colleagues to meet these standards
  • Communicate with teams on a regular basis, monthly team meetings and monthly 1:1’s with colleagues.
  • Monitoring various work queues and reports to ensure that work is completed accurately and within service level agreements.
  • Participating and/or leading initiatives, special projects, testing, procedure creation/updates, etc.
  • Monthly meetings with key stakeholders to review metrics, address concerns, and maintain strong partnerships.

This is a hybrid position. You must be located near 5555 Cleveland Ave, Columbus, Ohio or 333 Main St Midland, MI.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School diploma.
  • 2 years managing a team or working as a Team Lead of colleagues in an operations environment
  • 5 or more years of operations experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated success of leading a team of colleagues while meeting the demands of a high volume; deadline driven environment.
  • Expected to meet daily processing requirements especially those relating to financial transactions.
  • Familiarity with interpreting attorney prepared loan documentation
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills as well as organizational skills
  • Must have excellent PC skills to include Microsoft Office software
  • AFSVision, HAWC, Velocity, EDR, and other HNB mainframe systems is preferred
  • Experience supporting Commercial Lending, Business Banking and Special Asset colleagues in a servicing capacity.
  • Ability to interact with internal and external customers to achieve positive results while working in a fast-paced, production environment
