Summary:
Senior leadership role within the Corporate Operational Risk Management organization, which is responsible for the assessment and mitigation of identified risks related to funds movement. The Funds Movement Risk Director is responsible for overseeing and managing the risks associated with the movement of funds within the organization. This role involves developing and implementing risk management strategies, monitoring transactions, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of risk management principles and have a proven track record of leading high-performing teams. They will be responsible for identifying and mitigating risks associated with the movement of funds, collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of business activities and communicating effectively to ensure successful outcomes.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manages evolution and oversight of Huntington's risk management practices by using an enterprise framework and comprehensive approach specific to Huntington's business process.
- Risk Assessment: Conduct thorough risk assessments related to funds movement, including identifying potential vulnerabilities and developing strategies to mitigate risks.
- Policy Development: Develop and implement policies and procedures to manage funds movement risks effectively.
- Identifies metrics and key performance indicators to enable the measurement of execution; delivery; and process management risk in meeting business objectives.
- Monitors pertinent key risk indicators and investigates and reports on adverse movements or aggregation of risk across segments. validates alignment of risk appetite to tolerance thresholds.
- Assesses and recommends tools and techniques to automated information systems control verification processes.
- Presents and participates in Board; Executive; and Management level committees as assigned.
- Support the enhancement of ORM framework including the development of scorecards and dashboards.
- Collaborates with audit/business segment/corporate risk to assess quality and completeness of action plans and target dates.
- Identifies potential and emerging threats and vulnerabilities, and assembles risk scenarios to estimate the likelihood and impact of significant events to the bank.

- Gaining an in-depth knowledge of the Enterprise Risk Management System to support the Firm's overall ERM strategy and framework
- Key operational reporting for the Operational Risk Committee (ORC) and Primary Risk Assessment (PRA).
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- 10 + years' experience in leading governance programs, including control automation, encompassing compliance, financial reporting, data governance, third-party risk, technology, cybersecurity, business continuity, and privacy.
- Experience in either 1LOD or 2LOD Payments Risk.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters' degree
