Summary:
The Manager I Onboarding - IF is a Subject Matter Expert on loan documentation and Know Your Customer (“KYC”) requirements. They collaborate with Onboarding Director, Legal, Compliance, Credit, Portfolio Control and Onboarding teams on an ongoing basis regarding loan documentation and KYC requirements per policies and procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review and approve loan documents prepared and submitted by sales support and customer service personnel to ensure effectiveness and accuracy
- Coach stakeholders in reviewing customer authority and formation documents
- Work closely with the stakeholders to understand the customer/prospect organizational structures and identify information needed from customer/prospects to satisfy KYC requirements
- Maintain regular communication with Sales Support Specialists to ensure expectations are being met, training issues are addressed, and individual engagement and growth is discussed.
- Plan, communicate, and track quarterly team and individual goals.
- Ensure that team maintains required data and activity tracking on Salesforce.
- Oversee and drive the process of maintaining a complete, accurate and timely update of HIF Documentation “manual”
- Prioritize and assign team workload
- Create, monitor, and appraise individual and team goals
- Responsible for personnel functions including staffing, training, coaching, performance reviews and management, and other personnel matters as they arise.
- Responsible for monitoring, simplifying, and improving loan documentation processes, requirements, and cycle times
- For Canadian business, oversee onboarding process for new direct and indirect credit line requests from application to activation, including contacting dealers, obtaining complete information on entity and owner applicants, submitting the information through credit decision models or to the Credit team for manual underwriting , completing engine associations, processing auto generated loan documentation, filing PPSAs, RDPRMs, sending PMSI notices, and working with the account set up teams to complete activation of credit lines, within the parameters of OEM programs and following all Compliance, Legal and Credit requirements.
- Execute and supervise other assigned onboarding and documentation related initiatives, projects and activities as needed.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or 7+ years of experience in a customer facing or loan documentation position in banking or finance
- 3+ years of team lead or management experience
- Commercial/secured lending experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters Degree
- Knowledge of inventory finance onboarding processes, documentation and legal, compliance, and regulatory requirements
- Ability to read and understand complex entity formation and authority documents.
- Working knowledge of UCC law and credit concepts.
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work in fast paced environment with frequent changes in priorities
- Proactive, energetic attitude with ability to function independently in a results‐oriented and deadline‐driven environment.

Compensation Range:
$77,000 - $154,000 Annual SalaryThe compensation range represents the low and high end of the base compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. Colleagues in this position are also eligible to participate in an applicable incentive compensation plan. In addition, Huntington provides a variety of benefits to colleagues, including health insurance coverage, wellness program, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plan, paid leave programs, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
