Legal Administrative Assistant – Legal Department
This position provides administrative support for the daily operations of the Legal Department at The Huntington National Bank. The ideal candidate will possess significant organizational and interpersonal skills, active listening skills, and a commitment to learning and facilitating the functions of the Legal Department. The selected individual will provide direct support to the Legal Operations team, as well as multiple attorneys and paralegals. They should reflect a positive and professional image in all communications and enjoy creating and maintaining organization and efficiency. Additional required attributes include research and analytical skills, critical thinking skills, and an eye for detail. The candidate must be a self-starter, anticipate needs and requirements (be forward thinking), and enjoy being part of a larger team.
Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Opening, reviewing, and processing all incoming mail for the Department.
- Scheduling, coordinating, and arranging meetings and travel.
- Organizing and formatting legal documents and correspondence.
- Gathering data, preparing documents, scanning, making copies.
- Processing invoices and expense reimbursements for payment.
- Maintaining confidential documents.
- Assisting with department event coordination, as needed.

Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma
- A minimum of three years of office and/or administrative support experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- Previous experience supporting multiple colleagues and/or attorneys
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
- Comfortable reviewing and identifying a variety of official and/or legal documents
- Must be highly organized and possess a high degree of professionalism and attention to detail.
- Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must have the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, act with a sense of urgency, and be able to prioritize multiple assignments and duties.
- Must maintain a high degree of confidentiality, maturity, and judgment.
- Must have the ability to work on site 3 days each week
Work Arrangements: Hybrid; Must work in office a minimum of 3 days per week
