IT Service Delivery Director

Summary:

  • The IT Service Delivery Director serves as a single point of accountability for the Information Technology (IT) needs of the assigned Business Segment(s). 
  • Huntington is in the middle of a significant Technology Transformation effort and is currently seeking an individual to lead and drive Enterprise Payments technology teams to unlock new business opportunities using modern, scalable and secure external APIs.   The successful candidate will be on the front line of our technology transformation, interacting with leadership across the technology segments, as well as clients.  You must excel at leading strategic, large scale, cross-cutting technology initiatives designed to transform the way software is developed, delivered, operated, and evolved.  You will be collaborating across a complex organization to drive to the target state model, formulate and execute adoption strategies across IT, define and manage success criteria and metrics, and serve as a leading voice for our goals and aspirations. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates the development of strategy, planning, funding, and delivery of technology products and services to the Business Segment(s) and delivery partners. 
  • Partners in developing /executing technology strategy and is responsible for end-to-end technology project execution including resource planning. 
  • Responsible for financial transparency across IT (including initiatives and base operations) for the Business Segment(s).
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • "Minimum 10 years of related engineering experience; 5 years experience in a financial institution/bank, preferably with direct experience and understanding of Cards and/or Payment flows and processing" 
  • Deep understanding of API design principles (REST, GraphQL) and security best practices (authentication, authorization, encryption) for internal and external APIs
  • Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and products, including Apigee API platform, Google Bigtable and various cloud-native processing environments
  • Experience driving Agile delivery transformations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to make swift, data driven decisions
  • Experience engaging and driving technical discussions with clients and prospective clients
  • Familiarity with leveraging AI-assisted development tools like GitHub Copilot to improve engineering efficiency
  • Experience driving Engineering efficiency and quality, including use of GenAI tools like GitHub Copliot
  • Technology-enabled innovation experience
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills
  • Ability to resolve issues and drive performance
  • Success within a large organization
  • Skilled in articulating and interacting with both technical and non-technical leaders
  • Background in Continuous Delivery environments leverage DevSecOps principles

Compensation Range:

125,000.00 - 255,000.00 USD Annual

The compensation range represents the low and high end of the base compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.  Colleagues in this position are also eligible to participate in an applicable incentive compensation plan.  In addition, Huntington provides a variety of benefits to colleagues, including health insurance coverage, wellness program, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plan, paid leave programs, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
