The GRC team within Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) manages the RSA Archer GRC platform at Huntington. Our GRC capability enables:
- A consolidated view of risk - risk data aggregation and reporting capabilities
- Automation for risk management teams across the three lines of defense
- Scalability in risk management processes, data, and reporting to support Huntington’s continued growth
We’re seeking a GRC System Director with a passion for advancing risk management capabilities and meeting customer needs. The ideal candidate has significant experience with the Archer GRC platform, a track record of effective leadership, a strong understanding of all aspects of the IT software development lifecycle (SDLC), effective organizational and interpersonal skills, and experience with a range of risk management functions, preferably within the financial services industry.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Accountable for the availability and overall health of a large-scale Archer Integrated GRC Platform with over 80 applications and questionnaires
- Manage strategic roadmap for Archer GRC platform, including large and complex risk initiatives, Archer enhancements and new products, and technical debt reduction
- Lead Archer GRC integration strategy to connect with other risk applications using APIs
- Lead Archer GRC data strategy, including use of reporting, dashboards, and Huntington’s Data Lake to make risk data accessible and consumable to a variety of stakeholders
- Own and oversee team’s work delivery processes (i.e. SDLC), procedures, service level agreements (SLAs), key controls, and technical best practices
- Supervise assigned team (including use of contractors) in the configuration and support of the Archer GRC platform
- Prioritize and assign work to team members and ensure they are appropriately trained
- Manage relationships with RSA Archer and other third-parties, including performing third-party risk management activities
- Build strong relationships with senior Risk leaders and key stakeholders
- Work effectively with IT and Data partners at Huntington
- Available after hours and on weekends to support change implementation and on-call support, as needed
- Follow Huntington IT, Data, and Risk Management policies, standards, and procedures
- Support audit and regulatory exams
- Coach members of the team to support their ongoing development
- Other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 10+ years of experience with a GRC platform or equivalent work experience in Technology, Data, Risk, or Audit
- 3+ years of people management experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Archer Certified Administrator
- Proven experience as a people leader in achieving strong performance and strong team culture
- Experience with all aspects of IT SDLC process
- Critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills
- Effective communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
- Can provide clear direction, organization, and confidence in the face of ambiguity, complexity, and competing priorities
- Strong attention to detail and passion for quality
- Ability to work with varying levels of personnel across various departments
- Experience with a variety of risk management concepts and functions (enterprise risk management, issues management, operational risk, risk and control self-assessment, compliance, model risk management, IT risk management, audit, etc.)
- Experience in the banking industry
- Passion for continuous learning and development
- Archer Administrator certification
- Experience with automation, analytics, and artificial intelligence/machine learning is a plus
