Summary:
Huntington Bank is seeking an experienced communications manager to promote its “People-first” culture and drive colleague engagement as the company continues to expand and elevate its brand nationally.
Reporting to the Director of Enterprise Communications, this new role will partner closely with HR leaders, business leaders, regional leaders, and communications teams to develop and execute communications plans in support of Huntington’s approximately-20,000 colleagues.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated success leading large-scale internal campaigns across a wide range of channels.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop strategic communications plans to inform and engage Huntington’s colleagues about the company’s strategy and vision, in partnership with HR leaders and other stakeholders.
- Serve as communications strategist for programs and initiatives that support company culture.
- Write and publish high-quality internal communications materials to recap events, convey key messages and highlight company stories to colleagues.
- Help develop company messaging around people and culture, and work with communications partners to align across the enterprise.
- Continuously evaluate existing communications strategies to welcome new colleagues to Huntington and refine as needed.
- Provide communications support for major colleagues events, including Huntington-Live and Colleague Appreciation Week, and other major corporate initiatives as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 6 Years of related experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated success leading internal communications and/or employee engagement campaigns within a large corporate workforce.
- Strong writer with the ability to communicate with variety of stakeholders, including company leadership.
- Video production experience.
- Event management experience.
- Critical thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
- Collaborative team member who can build strong partnerships across the organization.
