We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Loan Servicing Operations Specialist to join our Consumer Loan Servicing ILN Cash Processing team. This role is critical to ensuring the accurate and timely processing of various loan-related transactions, including payoffs, funding, insurance, and exception handling. This role supports the team by processing a wide range of loan-related transactions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with internal and external standards. The position is cross trained across multiple functions and may assist in training less experienced team members or organizing workflow. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of loan operations, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
Job Description
Consumer Loan Servicing Specialist 1, Full Time, Monday - Friday, 8:00 - 5:00.
This is an in office position, located at 5555 Cleveland Ave Columbus, Ohio.
- Process ILN Payoffs (Full and Short
- Handle Payment Reversals, Exceptions, and Work-In-Progress (WIP) items
- Manage Insurance Checks and Payments, including Collision Checks
- Execute Direct Funding and Dealer Payments, including check processing and returns (RTN, ACH)
- Process Agency, Trustee, SOS Wire, and Western Union Payments
- Post and research Trustee Payments (Voluntary and Involuntary)
- Address Web Exceptions and Rejects
- Issue Refunds and Perform End-of-Day Balancing
- Conduct Loan Research and manage ILN E-mail Boxes
- Perform GL/DDA Balancing and support Non-Production Reports/Scripts
- Complete administrative tasks such as scanning, sorting, filing, printing, and folding
- Open, sort, and distribute incoming mail and Hogan checks
- Compile regular and special reports using data from multiple sources
- Exchange information and resolve problems using non-standard solutions
- Refer unusual cases to Leadership as needed
Basic Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1 or more years of experience in an office environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with installment loans, payment reconciliation, or loan servicing systems (e.g., Hogan, Fiserv)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high production demands
- Ability to key 40-45 wpm
- Working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Preferred experience with installment loans or reconciling payments.
- Excellent customer service and team building skills required.
- Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize work
