The Project Coordinator provides high-level administrative support to the Community Development Program Director (CDPD), playing a key part in project delivery, executive support, and event coordination. This role is ideal for a proactive, detail-oriented professional with strong organizational and communication skills, and a passion for community engagement.
Job Description
This is a highly visible role with regular engagement across the organization and beyond, including interactions with senior executives, members of the National Community Advisory Council (NCAC), and leaders of community organizations nationwide. The Project Coordinator provides advanced administrative support to the Community Development Program Director (CDPD), ensuring seamless execution of daily operations, strategic initiatives, and high-profile events. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and able to anticipate needs to prevent delays and resolve conflicts efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Executive Support
Manage CDPD’s calendar and email communications with precision and discretion. Draft and respond to emails, take dictation, and flag priority items for follow-up. Prepare weekly and monthly itineraries; ensure CDPD is briefed and equipped for meetings and travel. Monitor deadlines and proactively align calendar with key deliverables (e.g., board packages, NCAC materials, audits, reports). Ensure run-of-show details are prepared for board events and speaking engagements.
Event Planning & Logistics
Coordinate large-scale events and calls with national organizations such as the National Community Reinvestment Coalition. Manage sponsorships, speaking engagements, ad placements, and marketing opportunities in partnership with external organizations. Organize corporate and community development events, collaborating with C-suite colleagues to set dates and secure venues. Coordinate catering, transportation, and accommodations with vendors and travel agencies. Develop and manage event registration websites, RSVPs, and room blocks. Coordinate travel logistics including flights, hotels, and car service. Ensure timely receipt of presentations and materials; manage invitations and attendee communications. Handle administrative tasks such as creating name badges, binding presentations, and securing supplies. Provide on-site support to ensure smooth execution and resolve logistical challenges swiftly.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree
Minimum 3 years of executive administrative support experience
Minimum 1 year of experience in project coordination or project management
Preferred Qualifications:
Large scale meeting and event coordination experience
Proficiency in Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Flexibility to travel for events as needed
Ability to manage complex tasks and resolve non-standard problems
Strong interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholders
High level of confidentiality, maturity, and professionalism
Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment

Compensation Range:
$49,925-$92,575 annual salaryThe compensation range represents the low and high end of the base compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. Colleagues in this position are also eligible to participate in an applicable incentive compensation plan. In addition, Huntington provides a variety of benefits to colleagues, including health insurance coverage, wellness program, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plan, paid leave programs, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
