###### HYBRID ROLE 3 days in office ###############
The Business Systems Analyst is responsible for owning the elicitation, analysis, documentation, and validation of system behavior. They should understand basic principles of project management, business analysis and business engagement. They should emphasize business focus on prioritized value, attention to detail, quality, and efficient delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Perform analysis of business issues, provide recommendations for possible solutions, work with Business users and IT project teams to drive decision making and define requirements for application development, ensuring that business needs and IT controls are being met.
- Works closely with the business segment to capture their needs into an IT Scope document to identify cross impacted teams and obtain a high-level effort.
- Complete documentation for business requirements which guide application development efforts, working closely with the development teams and business teams to ensure successful implementation.
- Analyze opportunities to improve application reliability, provide recommendations for possible solutions, and work with IT and Business partners to implement solutions that enhance application and infrastructure reliability.
- Communicate project status and escalates issues as needed.
- Facilitate Product Backlog review and estimation sessions with the project team.
- Maintains the quality of the Evergreen documentation to ensure the reliability for future related efforts or assist with remediating production incidents.
- Participates in mentoring other colleagues and driving departmental process improvement ideas.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Five years of experience in business analysis of technical products and/or software development
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in communicating and presenting to multiple levels of leadership
- Ability to problem solve and help teams come to agreements in decision making
- Strategic thinking skills.
- Excellent analytical and communication (written and verbal) skills
- Experience in SDLC methodologies; understands and has experience with Agile,
- Iterative and Waterfall delivery models.
- Strong organizational and motivational skills.
- Knowledge of writing/understanding detailed Use Cases
- Experience in working in iterative/Agile environment.
- Understanding of Agile practices and project rituals
