Business Loan Funding Coordinator

Summary:

The Business Loan Funding Coordinator performs detailed review and analysis, within expected service levels, of executed Funding documentation to ensure compliance with all aspects of the approval for closing, funding, and draw request in adherence with Regulatory and Bank guidelines/policies.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Review commercial loan documentation for accuracy to perfect lien position.
  • Ability to identify the critical risk-based elements in loan documentation that are required, minimizing customer impact.
  • Effectively communicates and provides guidance to sales and lending partners through strong written and verbal skills.
  • When necessary, engages internal counsel and credit administration to obtain proper approvals and / or waivers. 
  • Ensures proper loan and collateral documentation by staying abreast of and interpreting various legal and regulatory guidance, bank policies and procedures of loan documentation with a risk mindset. 
  • Accurately validates, submits and approves monetary transactions in alignment with credit approval, customer direction and bank policies.
  • Strong ability to balance quality and production while meeting strict deadlines.
  • Achieve positive results and work in a fast-paced, high production environment through strong organizational skills.
  • Works overtime as needed during peak periods.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year experience with monetary transactions, loan servicing, document preparation or quality review


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Paralegal certificate and/or experience
  • Understanding of Lending Process legal guidelines
  • Experience evaluating Credit Approvals and commercial/business loan documentation requirements including Conventional, and Government Guaranteed programs like SBA.
  • Experience processing and balancing general ledger transactions
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software
  • HAWC, Velocity, AFS, Passport
