Corporate and Investment Banking Internship Program
Designed for high-performing undergraduate rising seniors, this immersive summer experience offers a unique opportunity to gain exposure to Corporate, Specialty & Government Banking or Capital Markets—providing a solid foundation in the world of institutional finance.
Candidates will choose their area of interest at the time of application from the following divisions:
Corporate, Specialty, & Government Banking (CSG):
Primary locations: Charlotte, NC or Columbus, OH
Interns will rotate once during the summer between Credit Products and Corporate Banking and have the opportunity to support industry verticals including Aerospace & Defense, Consumer & Retail, Diversified, Industrials, Franchise, Financial Institutions, Institutional Government, Healthcare, or Technology, Media and Telecom. Interns in Credit Products will support ongoing portfolio management and underwriting activities developing skills in credit and market analysis, capitalization, and industry research. While with Corporate Banking, interns will support the origination team with new and ongoing client management and pitch strategies.
Huntington Capital Markets (HCM):
Primary Locations: Charlotte, NC, Columbus, OH, or Chicago, IL
Interns will work in one of three core areas: 1) Capital Markets Investment Banking teams, including 1) Syndicated and Leverage Finance 2) Debt Capital Markets 3) Equity Capital Markets, 4) Financial Sponsor Group or 5) Public Finance. Intern responsibilities include supporting junior and senior team members in developing new business ideas, pitch strategies, and business line execution to help clients achieve their financial and strategic objectives.
The Corporate and Investment Banking Internship is the primary recruiting source for our post-graduate CIB Analyst Program.
Basic Qualifications:
- Rising Seniors enrolled in an Undergraduate accredited University with a focus in Finance, Accounting, Economics or other analytical coursework strongly preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong quantitative and critical thinking abilities
- Demonstrated teamwork and leadership through extracurricular activities and/or work experience
- Exceptional written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and relationship building skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Exempt Status: (Yes = not eligible for overtime pay) (No = eligible for overtime pay)

Compensation Range:
30/hrThe compensation range represents the low and high end of the base compensation range for this position. Colleagues in Intern positions are eligible for paid holidays and Huntington’s retirement savings plan.
