  • Join our small (but effective!) newly formed Technology Innovation Group (TIG) to push the boundaries of technology innovation and bring to reality new concepts in technology and processes that will have a demonstrable impact on the enterprise.

Summary:

  • The TIG Senior Engineer engages in technology research and software development, serves as a technical expert and advisor, and influences team and company technical direction. This individual is assigned complex initiatives and projects as part of a team, leads the design and implementation of innovative solutions, provides thought leadership and mentorship to senior colleagues, and works with leadership to shape the company’s technical vision.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Analyze products and technology for applicability to the enterprise and evolution of the estate
  • Design, document, and/or develop technology/frameworks/platforms for consumption by the architecture, development, and technical organizations.
  • Mature depth of evaluations, documentation, and implementation through iteration.
  • Conduct and document evaluations of products, systems, and software for the architectural and technical domains including interfaces, architecture, underlying services, dependencies, and deficiencies and limitations.
  • Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of high-performance, scalable, and innovative solutions.
  • Provide leadership, technical expertise, and advice in team meetings.
  • Consistently and continuously fosters and supports a culture of continuous improvement and learning across the organization.
  • Mentor technical delivery staff.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant software or engineering discipline
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in full-stack development
  • Ability to articulate and transfer complex ideas to a wide audience through both verbal and written communication
  • Strong conceptual, critical thinking, technical and problem-solving skills with good attention to details
  • Expertise in front-end and back-end technologies, relational and non-relational databases, and cloud platforms and services

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or master’s degree in software engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field
  • Experience architecting software solutions with demanding requirements such as performance, high availability, reliability, security, etc.
  • Competency with integration patterns and technologies
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies and how architecture and engineering integrate with Agile development teams
  • Articulate and can meet with high level management to present and/or deliver technical concepts and documentation
  • Demonstrated expertise in leading application architecture, design, and implementation of software solutions
