Summary:
The Senior Commercial Portfolio Manager – Technology Finance underwrites credit exposure for large, complex customer relationships and circumstances while actively manages a portfolio. This role interacts with assigned Sales Reps, manages portfolio risk, and adheres to all regulatory and compliance guidelines. In addition, a critical component of this position is early identification of emerging credit problems and industry trends.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Owns primary responsibility for the credit and monitoring of Commercial portfolio risks.
- Services, deepens, and retains assigned profitable customer relationships by pro-actively evaluating and mitigating associated business risks and opportunities per established Huntington policies, procedures and Guiding Principles.
- Underwrites quality, portfolio administration, and credit quality of assigned portfolio working directly with the Team Leader and Regional Credit Officer.
- As appropriate, assists in optimizing customer relationships working directly with Relationship Managers, Treasury Management, and other team members to effectively grow fees, deposits, and portfolio revenue by presenting practical Huntington financial solutions to customers.
- Accountable for and manages assigned portfolio by monitoring performance and trends, identifying issues, and following through for remediation.
- Manages delinquencies, collateral exceptions, borrowing base, portfolio reviews, specialized reporting, soft exposure annual reviews, criticized loans, etc.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field or equivalent education and/or work experience.
- 5+ years of related experience in commercial credit analysis.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Has successfully held similar role with a Bank-owed equipment finance organization or like experience.
- Industry or sub-sector expertise.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft office applications.
- Sound credit skills; proficiency with Moody’s spreading software.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize workflow and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- RMA-CRC and/or CLFP designation.
