Description
In the role of Section Manager 2, you will manage the day-to-day responsibilities of the mortgage cashiering team within Consumer Loan Servicing. You will be responsible for ensuring all mortgage cash functions are completed timely and accurately while operating within established regulatory requirements. This position will work closely with several Loan Servicing Managers as well as with partners in Legal, Risk and Compliance to ensure adherence to all relevant policies, procedures and Investor guidelines.
Department processing responsibilities include:
- Loan payoff processing.
- Lockbox exception payment processing.
- NSF reversals
- Cash adjustment requests through MSP Task Tracking and HAWC.
- Refunding loan overpayments and issuing overpayments and refunds to customers
- ACH processing.
- Daily, weekly and monthly reconciliation of multiple operational cash accounts to include payment clearing
Manager responsibilities include:
- Assign daily work and ensure internal SLA’s are met
- Perform Quality Assurance reviews and coach team to improve performance
- Lead all projects that impact Cash processing
- Ensure proper risk controls are in place and effective
- Ensure procedures are updated to accurately reflect the way work is being completed
- Manage Cash requests for both internal and external audits
Basic Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- 3 or more years of Management/Leadership experience
- Experience in Microsoft Office
- 3 or more years of mortgage loan servicing experience
Preferred Qualifications
- 5 or more Years of Loan Servicing experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work with a diverse team of colleagues and organize workflows to ensure items are completed promptly
- Able to prioritize functions and make quick staffing changes on the go to ensure financial items are posted same day.
