IT Service Delivery Manager - Sr

Description

The IT Service Delivery Manager supervises assigned teams within the Enterprise Payments organization in the development and maintenance of specific applications or functions. This resource will play an integral part in the development of strategy, planning, funding, and delivery of technology products and services to the Business Segment(s) and delivery partners.  This team will consist of developers, business analysts and QA testers.  Huntington Payments is accelerating the establishment of technology partnerships of various types to drive innovation and growth across new and existing payments offerings. This role will work closely with architects, cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, compliance, and business units, to deliver technology solutions. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assigns staff to the specific projects for which the team is responsible and ensures that team members are appropriately trained for completion of job duties
  • Determines user needs, establishes priorities, and plans, directs and monitors work
  • Follows the agile methodology
  • Provides technical assistance in solving hardware or software problems
  • Possesses an in-depth knowledge of and works with the technical tools available for systems development and support
  • Maintains and demonstrates knowledge of technical industry trends, particularly as they apply to Huntington
  • Evaluates project status and recommends changes to improve efficiency 
  • Take part in estimates and utilize the estimation tool
  • Ensures that deadlines and budgets are met
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Build and manage the intake and onboarding model for Payments to onboard to Cloud, DevSecOps and API platforms, including other targeted methods, as needed
  • Build the ability to improve the throughput, speed, and efficiency of delivery in the Payments organization without compromising quality, stability, security or compliance


Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 10+ years of professional experience in the IT field
  • 5+ years leading others in the development of software in a team environment

               

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong vendor negotiation and management experience partnering with product and sourcing organizations
  • Strong management and mentoring skills
  • Team leadership and team building leveraging distributed labor models
  • Ability to resolve issues and drive performance across multi-disciplined teams spanning different parts of the organization
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to collaborate with clients, business partners, IT partners, front-line teams, executive management, and external partners
  • Goal oriented with the ability to balance strategic thinking while delivering results.
  • Familiarity and expertise in DevSecOps and Agile methodologies.
  • Working knowledge and experience building APIs
  • Proven track record of leading large teams and driving successful technology initiatives while also improving and transforming delivery
  • Critical thinking, problem solving, and analytical ability
