Finance Manager – Resolution and Recovery Planning

Responsible for developing and coordinating the corporate level financial deliverables for FDIC Resolution planning, OCC Recovery planning, Liquidity and Capital contingency planning, as well as supporting M&A activity. Partners closely Treasury, M&A, FP&A, Risk, and other corporate functions, to ensure continuous improvement on short & long-term financial forecasting, reporting, financial analysis, risk mitigation, and scenario planning. This role is a fast paced, deadline driven position, often requiring participation or leading of large complex projects.  The ideal candidate will be strategic, analytical and a strong communicator with the ability to influence key decisions.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement financial capabilities / process for resolution and recovery planning across FP&A to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Create and analyze formal written narratives summarizing financial outputs and supportive documentation for internal and external stakeholders
  • Design testing capabilities to ensure processes are operating effectively and able meet guidance and expectations
  • Develop and prepare presentations to obtain approvals from senior management and board committees.
  • Collaborate with program teams and provide constructive feedback and recommendations intended to enhance quality of regulatory submissions
  • Provides advanced, short & long-term financial analysis to assess performance and identify trends. Conducts and documents complex ad-hoc financial analysis projects.
  • Gathers, analyzes, prepares, and summarizes recommendations for financial plans, acquisition activity, future trended future requirements, and operating forecasts.
  • Evaluate financial performance in Risk and planning scenarios while identifying areas for improvement and conduct variance analysis and provide insights to support decision-making.
  • Prepare and deliver regular ad-hoc reports with written commentary and analysis on business performance. Present financial insights to senior management and executive leadership.
  • Heavy collaboration with Treasury, Strategy, M&A, and Finance cross-functional teams and business partners to drive financial forecast for multiple targeted scenarios.
  • Create and maintain financial forecast tools based on the drivers of the business that meets the desired corporate targets.
  • Ensure the consistent delivery of data and information that supports writing and verbal reporting.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Math, or Engineering
  • Minimum of 4 years of Financial services FP&A, corporate development (M&A), or financial services risk management experience with focus in Resolution and Recovery Planning

Desired Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, MS Excel, PowerPoint, Oracle EPM/OFSAA
  • Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to stakeholders at all levels.
  • MBA in Finance or Accounting
  • Banking experience preferred
  • CPA, CFA, or other relevant certification
  • Ability to multi-task effectively, be a self-starter, deliver to deadlines, handle stress with composure and professionalism, and move work forward with limited direction.
  • Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present ideas clearly and concisely while demonstrating confidence and competence in individual and group meeting situations.
