Enterprise Technology Capability Owner

Description

The Enterprise Technology Capability Owner will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing the technology capabilities that support Huntington. This position requires a strategic thinker who can align technology initiatives with business goals, ensuring that our technology infrastructure enables efficiency, compliance, and innovation in the financial services sector. Capability owners will be focused on development enablement or core mod foundational adoption or enterprise obfuscation modules.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and manage the enterprise technology capabilities that support financial services, including areas such as banking operations, risk management, compliance, data analytics, and customer relationship management.
  • Develop and maintain a clear roadmap for technology capabilities, ensuring alignment with industry trends and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business units, risk management, compliance, and operations, to understand their technology needs and challenges.
  • Act as the primary liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure that technology solutions meet business requirements.
  • Work with senior leadership to develop a strategic vision for technology capabilities within the financial services domain.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and improvement, leveraging emerging technologies to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.
  • Evaluate and recommend technology solutions and vendors that align with the organization’s strategic goals.
  • Oversee the implementation of new technologies, ensuring they are integrated smoothly into existing systems and processes.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of technology capabilities.
  • Prepare regular reports for senior management on technology performance, project status, and potential risks.
  • Ensure that all technology capabilities comply with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Identify potential risks associated with technology implementations and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Lead and mentor a team of technology professionals, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team skills and capabilities.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 12+ years of experience in technology management within the financial services industry, of which 5+ are in a leadership role.
  • 5+ years experience with financial services operations, regulations, and technology trends.
  • 5+ years experience in managing cross-functional teams and driving technology initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
  • Strong understanding of financial services operations, regulations, and technology trends.
  • Proven experience in managing cross-functional teams and driving technology initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and project management frameworks.
  • Experience with cloud computing, data analytics, and cybersecurity in the financial services sector.
  • Knowledge of digital transformation initiatives and their impact on financial services.
  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g., ITIL, PMP, or similar) are a plus.
