Default Reporting Analyst I

Description

This position is the primary Default Servicing liaison for the Investor owned mortgage portfolios. This person is a subject matter expert for all Investor Default Reporting issues and is responsible for ensuring all reporting is accurate. This person must have in-depth knowledge and strong communication skills in order to facilitate multiple Investor audits every year.


Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for producing and correcting all default investor reporting.
  • Serve as point of contact for all investors regarding default management.
  • Provide support to all of the default management teams (default, loss mitigation, foreclosure, REO)
  • Coordinate and make all system changes related to the default process. Review all Client Advisories and regulatory changes that are published. Review the required changes with the business area. Plan the changes and design test plans to ensure changes are correct. Track the system changes when and why they were made.
  • Serve as a contact point for all internal and external investor default reporting issues. Log and track all issues to ensure that we are receiving timely follow up. Escalate issues when appropriate.
  • Serve as a technical resource for MSP default servicing and reporting. Identify opportunities to create scripts that will assist in the default processes.
  • Coordinate the install of all system upgrades related to the default management system.
  • Review and evaluate our current processes. Make recommendations to the business unit managers on how they can improve their current processes.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree
  • At least 5 years of default servicing experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Problem solver, self-starter, solution focused, with the ability to think outside the box.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, high-stress environment and demonstrates an accountability for their work
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills required, both oral and written.
  • Excellent time management and follow up skills. Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Strong reporting skills utilizing Microsoft Excel and pivot tables.
  • Ability to work independently or within a group with little or no supervision producing consistently exceptional work
  • Experience documenting processes and procedures.
  • Fidelity MSP experience a plus
  • Understanding of Investor Reporting in banking
