Credit Card Strategy and Analytics Manager

Job Summary:

The Credit Card Strategy and Analytics Manager is responsible for the ongoing development, implementation, and monitoring of credit card account management risk strategies for Huntington’s consumer card, small business card, and secured credit card portfolios.  This includes direct responsibility for the quantitative development of credit risk strategies that optimize risk-adjusted returns, as well as oversight responsibility for strategy implementation on the Fiserv processing platform.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Oversight for all Consumer, Small Business, and Secured credit card portfolio account management credit risk strategies
  • Lead resource in developing quantitative analysis to improve Huntington’s credit card loss and risk-adjusted return results
  • Responsible for operational execution of adaptive control strategies, as well as periodic batch programs
  • Development and maintenance of multiple champion-challenger tests across the various account management decision areas, including regular reporting of results to senior management
  • Direct management responsibility for one or more analysts
  • Continuous interaction with key business partners to advance business priorities, including Credit Administration, Fraud, Product, Legal/Compliance, and Collections.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the credit card P&L and credit risk management best practices
  • Demonstrated experience conducting complex analysis, including the planning, execution, presentation, implementation, monitoring, and re-development phases
  • Maintain visibility to industry best practices and the impact / feasibility for implementation at HNB

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of Risk Management experience in the financial services industry
  • Fluency in SQL, SAS, or comparable coding experience. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced knowledge of Fiserv, ACS, and Power Curve
  • Strong organization and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to think independently
  • Strong analytical skills and thought process, with a high degree of attention to detail
  • Ability to articulate problem solving methodology used to research and create solutions
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at once, prioritizing within tight time constraints
  • Customer service orientation, with respect to both internal and external customers 
  • Master’s Degree in Statistics, Business Analytics, or comparable coursework
