Checking Acquisition Product Manager

Summary:

The Consumer Deposit Product Manager for Checking Household Acquisition is responsible for driving tactical execution of acquisition strategies that lead to outsized Consumer and Small Business Checking Household growth.  This product manager will partner across Retail Sales and Service, Regional Banking, Marketing, and Data and Analytics teams to build and support new acquisition playbooks that activate household growth at the market level. The role will forecast Checking performance and provides performance reporting and insights. 


Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage the execution of new acquisition strategy playbooks in partnership with sales and local market teams.
  • Ensures delivery of acquisition roadmap milestones, by influencing cross line of business partners to achieve key program goals and objectives.
  • Coordinates internal and external messaging with marketing and communications partners.
  • Understanding of product-level P&L’s and can forecast financial impacts of solution deployments.
  • Forecasting, reporting and analysis of checking acquisition, checking balance and primacy trends.
  • Develops market level scorecards and KPIs to track success of local market activation and marketing efforts.
  • Execute business case coordination, including financial modeling, internal product/risk approvals and partner socialization.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve ambiguous problems through critical thinking.
  • Use natural curiosity to drive actionable insights from reporting and analytics.
  • Monitors competitive trends within the banking industry and other industries.
  • Communicate direction changes, performance results, financials, trends and other analysis within regular meetings, emails, updates to partners and communication channels. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Basic Qualifications:     

  • Bachelor's Degree 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. 
  • 5+ years of experience working in product management, program management, financial services sales /service support –OR—financial services marketing.


Preferred Qualifications:     

  • Master’s Degree
  • Subject matter expertise and experience working with deposit products.
  • Experience planning and executing multiple projects in a timely and efficient manner. 
  • Strong decision making and negotiation skills and ability to provide solutions/strategies that work for the bank and for customers. 
  • Experience facilitating a team environment placing the team ahead of individual goals. 
  • Strong and creative analytical skills, competence/confidence in pulling and analyzing data, and translating the analyses into actionable strategies and tactics. 
  • Capability of utilizing business acumen and knowledge of business drivers for assessing market conditions and forecasting financial impacts. 
  • Technical skills: Microsoft Office suite, Tableau.
