Business Systems Analyst 3

Summary:

The colleague will function as a Business Systems Analyst and be the primary liaison between the Cyber Security Operations Teams. Primary responsibilities include working with stakeholders to understand their business and technical requirements, building and managing the product backlog (projects & enhancements), and successfully leading projects through their respective life-cycles.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Business Systems Analyst skills with ability to work on project requiring work from multiple Cyber Security and IT Teams
  • Skilled at defining and documenting business and functional requirements for projects
  • Strong Organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Technical background with knowledge of how systems are integrated
  • Experience in all phases of product, software, and testing lifecycles
  • Able to serve as a liaison between teams to drive effective, timely solutions that fulfill both strategic and operational needs
  • Skilled at defining and documenting business and functional requirements for projects
  • Strong investigative, analytical and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Strong knowledge in software delivery: Waterfall, Agile/Iterative, and/or Scrum
  • Able to proactively identify risks, and drive action to prioritize, mitigate, and resolve issues
  • Familiarity with all types of technical documentation (process maps, BRDs, system diagrams, user experience, application maps, test plans, use cases, test cases, etc.)
  • Lead and facilitate all backlog refinement sessions to refine user story details, acceptance criteria, and establish story points (if applicable) with team members. These meetings should result in user stories ready to be prioritized into the backlog.
  • Work with Product Owner and other SME’s to refine Epics – which triggers creation of Features and User-Stories.
  • Work with SME's, create and refine Features and User Stories for both Agile teams
  • Serves as a liaison and knowledge source with stakeholders, product owner and Testing team members
  • Work with other scrum masters to ensure a holistic view of the work is prioritized and available

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5 years’ experience as BSA

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to focus on customer service and to work well with other IT colleagues, vendors and business groups.
  • Strong documentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments to resolve issues
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Products
  • Experience with Azure DevOps (ADO) or Jira
  • Experience with ServiceNow PPM   (Project Management)
  • Demonstrated experience working in an Agile environment
