Description
The Associate supports the Enterprise Valuation Group by preparing Enterprise Valuation analysis across all industries, supporting leveraged lending and other collateral-light transactions, including both performing and distressed companies. In this role, the Associate will build upon the foundation of cash flow analysis and modeling, capitalization, industry research, credit policy and legal documentation, among others, in determining the value of a company. The Associate will also frequently collaborate with internal partners including Relationship Management, Credit Administration, Capital Markets, and other internal partners in creating such analysis.
Duties & Responsibilities:
· Prepare Enterprise Valuation final deliverables that are derived from Income and Market approaches of valuation such as discounted cash flow (DCF) analysis, Guideline Public Companies and Precedent Transaction analysis
· Draft key valuation assumptions, providing commentary and support
· Utilize and develop comparable databases and resources, leveraging market resources, such as S&P Capital IQ, Kroll, FRED and others
· Review financial projections for borrowers, focusing on supportable and reasonable inputs developed by internal deal teams
· Adhere to Enterprise Valuation policy, working closely with EV Director, Senior Management, and the Credit Policy team for improvements/updates to policy.
Basic Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree
· 2+ years demonstrated proficiency within Commercial Banking, Valuation or other related fields that use Free Cash Flow concepts
· 2+ years of demonstrated strong written and verbal and presentation communication skills
· 2+ years of demonstrated strong analytical skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
4+ years of experience in an underwriting in a commercial banking environment of complex commercial loans
High level of attention to detail
High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (particularly Microsoft Excel)
