Summary:

The Commercial Team Leader manages a team within a regional Commercial Banking region. These teams will include Relationship Managers, Portfolio Managers, Credit Analysts, and Account Relationship Associates, even though all of those participating team members may not report directly to the Team Leader. Responsibilities include development and implementation of a team strategy to meet assigned goals, sales efforts, and personal involvement in business development calls, and any aspect of the largest or most complex loans or prospects. Ensures that all relationships and transactions are in strategic alignment with the risk profile of the bank, including all front-end guidance. Representation of HNB as a professional in the marketplace/community.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manages the Commercial Banking activities for a large geographic area or a geographic region poised for strategic growth initiatives
  • Develops strategies to meet established goals for loan growth, deposit growth, fees, expense management, and overall Commercial regional operating income performance.
  • Directs the Commercial business development activities for the geographic area.
  • Oversees the quality of the loan portfolio and compliance with credit policy and regulations.
  • Establishes procedures to ensure credit risk is monitored and is ultimately held accountable for credit risk within the Commercial portfolio of the area.
  • Direct involvement in major relationships, including negotiating and structuring complex transactions and credits.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Basic Qualifications:

  • 10+ years in commercial/middle market banking
  • Bachelor’s degree


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Market specific experience leading a team of commercial lenders
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and matrix management skills necessary
  • Strong computer skills, including Word, Access, Power Point, Excel

Compensation Range: $102,000.00 - $208,000.00 USD Annual

Compensation Range:

$102,000.00 - $208,000.00 USD Annual

The compensation range represents the low and high end of the base compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.  Colleagues in this position are also eligible to participate in an applicable incentive compensation plan.  In addition, Huntington provides a variety of benefits to colleagues, including health insurance coverage, wellness program, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plan, paid leave programs, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
