Description
Summary:
The Business Banking Closing Specialist Sr. works with Relationship Managers, Borrowers, Sellers, Attorneys, Brokers, EROs, Underwriters, Closers, Title Companies and the banking Markets to collect due diligence and promote the loan closing process.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Serves as a subject matter expert in the review of loan documents, providing feedback to the loan closer on corrections needed
Reviews and works QR workflow queue prior to documents being sent for signature at closing
Using standard review checklist, reviews each document as required, noting any variations or issues, recording all errors and comments for return to loan closer to make corrections prior to loan closing
Provides feedback on training opportunities and gaps impacting quality of documentation, driving the business line forward to create better customer experiences and reducing overall risk
Other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
3+ years of related experience
High school diploma, GED or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
Paralegal Certificate / Associate Degree in Finance or Business
Experience with SBA lending
Excellent analytical skills
Experience with quality review of documents
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly and logically document errors
Exempt Status: (Yes = not eligible for overtime pay) (No = eligible for overtime pay)
