Huntington offers paid summer internship opportunities in many of our business areas, including Capital Markets, Commercial Banking, Consumer and Regional Banking, Corporate Banking, Data, Finance and Strategy, HR, IT, Operations, Risk Management and more. Most of Huntington’s internship positions are posted in late summer/early autumn with a goal to fill the positions before the end of the calendar year. Some business areas, including Corporate Banking and Capital Markets, may post and fill internship opportunities earlier (in the spring).

Corporate & Investment Banking Track

Huntington’s Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) teams have been serving national, middle market and large corporate clients across diversified and specialized industries for over 100 years. Designed for high-performing rising senior undergraduates, this immersive summer experience offers a unique opportunity to gain exposure to Corporate, Specialty & Government Banking, Huntington Capital Markets, or Capstone Partners Investment Banking — providing a solid foundation in the world of institutional finance. Interns choose their area of interest within the application from one of the following divisions: Corporate, Specialty and Government Banking, Huntington Capital Markets and Capstone Partners.

As an intern, you’ll participate in our core internship program while gaining specialized industry experience through immersive training, real-world projects, and interactive case studies that bring key concepts to life. You’ll learn from experienced professionals, build valuable technical and business skills, and gain insight into how we help our clients achieve their strategic goals.

To further enhance the experience, interns work alongside banking professionals on live transactions and deals, providing meaningful exposure to the work of corporate and investment banking teams. By the end of the summer, you'll have expanded your professional network, strengthened your industry knowledge, and developed the confidence and capabilities to take the next step in your career.

Corporate & Investment Banking Analyst Program

Program Overview

Launch your career at the center of deal execution and client strategy. The Corporate & Investment Banking Analyst Program is designed for high-performing recent graduates with a bachelor’s degree ready to step into the fast-paced world of institutional finance. From day one, you’ll gain exposure across Corporate Banking, Capital Markets, and Investment Banking—building the technical expertise and business acumen needed to make a meaningful impact.

Program Structure

Your journey begins with a seven-week immersive training experience, where you'll develop core skills in financial modeling, accounting, and credit analysis while connecting with peers and senior leaders.

Following training, you’ll step into a 2.5 year development experience focused on real-world application—working alongside experienced bankers, supporting transactions, and deepening your expertise. High performers are positioned for promotion to the Associate level upon successful completion.

We are looking for candidates who have:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Finance, Accounting, Economics, or other analytical disciplines preferred)
  • Ability to obtain required FINRA licenses (including SIE and role-specific licenses)

Finance & Strategy Analyst Rotation Program

Program Overview

Build a career with breadth, impact, and opportunity. The Finance & Strategy Analyst Rotation Program accelerates early-career development through hands-on experience, cross-functional rotations, leadership exposure, and meaningful business contributions. Designed to develop future Finance & Strategy leaders, the program helps participants build enterprise knowledge, expand professional networks, and develop the skills needed to drive strategic decisions across Huntington.

Program Structure

This 24-month rotational experience is designed to maximize learning, development, and career readiness:

  • Three 8-month rotations across key areas such as FP&A, Treasury, Accounting, and other strategic finance functions
  • Dedicated mentorship and coaching from experienced leaders and business partners throughout the program
  • Structured development and cohort experiences that support professional growth, networking, and collaboration
  • Capstone project experience that enables analysts to showcase their learning, insights, and contributions to senior leaders
  • At program completion, participants are placed in high-impact Finance & Strategy roles with opportunities for continued growth and advancement

This 18-month, cohort-based experience blends structured training with immersive business exposure:

Through structured training, real-world experience, and mentorship from experienced bankers, you'll build the skills and confidence to make an impact from day one.

Program Structure

Launch your career in Regional Banking through this 18-month development experience designed to build the technical expertise, business acumen, and relationship management skills needed for long-term success. Participants begin with foundational training in credit, risk, and financial analysis, then apply their knowledge through hands-on underwriting and lending experiences before completing a Regional Banking immersion that provides direct exposure to client relationships, sales strategies, and business development. Upon successful completion, participants are well-positioned for advancement opportunities within Regional Banking.
