Summary:

The National Deposits Group Sports & Entertainment Lead is responsible for setting the national vision and strategic direction for Huntington’s sports and entertainment banking, owning the end-to-end product lifecycle and P&L to deliver sustained, profitable growth. This leader drives innovation and new product development builds integrated go to market plans, and partners with sales leadership to recruit, onboard, and manage sales talent via a dotted line structure. The role serves as the enterprise subject matter expert for sports and entertainment, conducts market and customer research to identify opportunities, and leads cross functional execution with Product, Sales, Marketing, Technology, Compliance, and Risk. Externally, the leader engages directly with clients and industry stakeholders and expands Huntington’s presence through strategic partnerships with universities, leagues, teams, sponsors, entertainment entities, and technology companies. Internally, the leader fosters a high-performance culture, ensures operational excellence, and aligns initiatives with Huntington’s strategic priorities and governance standards.


Duties and Responsibilities:
1.    Lead the national vision, strategy, and execution for Huntington’s sports and entertainment banking products and services, ensuring broad coverage across collegiate and professional sports as well as the entertainment sectors.
2.    Own the full product lifecycle for sports and entertainment banking solutions, including ideation, development, launch, and ongoing enhancement, with direct responsibility for P&L performance and profitability.
3.    Develop and implement innovative go-to-market strategies and sales plans, collaborate with sales leaders to recruit onboard, and managing sales staff, with sales leaders reporting on a dotted-line basis to this role.
4.    Monitor market trends, competitive dynamics, and regulatory changes across all major sports and entertainment verticals to inform product, strategy and identify new growth opportunities.
5.    Serve as the subject matter expert for sports and entertainment banking, providing thought leadership and guidance both internally and externally.
6.    Lead cross-functional teams, including product, sales, marketing, compliance, technology, and external partners, to drive successful product launches and ongoing management of sports and entertainment offerings.
7.    Design and execute product marketing and promotional campaigns tailored to the diverse needs of sports and entertainment clients, leveraging market research and customer insights.
8.    Conduct comprehensive market research and customer analysis to identify trends, unmet needs, and opportunities for product innovation and differentiation.  
9.    Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with universities, leagues, teams, sponsors, entertainment entities, and technology companies nationwide to expand Huntington’s market presence and drive revenue growth
10.    Engage directly with clients, industry stakeholders, and business leaders across the enterprise to ensure strategies are integrated with broader business objectives and deliver sustained, profitable growth.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 7 or more years of business development/sales, developing market strategies in the banking industry

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in Product, Sales, Marketing, Technology, Compliance, and Risk.
  • End-to-end product lifecycle and P&L experience
  • 5 or more years of sports and entertainment banking
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams, including product, sales, marketing, compliance, technology, and external partners

Compensation Range:

The compensation range represents the low and high end of the base compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.  Colleagues in this position are also eligible to participate in an applicable incentive compensation plan.  In addition, Huntington provides a variety of benefits to colleagues, including health insurance coverage, wellness program, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plan, paid leave programs, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
