Summary:
Huntington Fund Finance (“HFF”) is seeking a Director – Operations to support the continued growth of its fund finance platform. This role is responsible for establishing, enhancing, and overseeing operational procedures related to client onboarding, transaction closings, borrowing activity, and collateral monitoring. The Director serves as a key liaison across internal stakeholders, ensuring efficient execution while maintaining compliance with applicable regulatory and policy requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Client Onboarding

  • Streamline onboarding to address structural, legal, and regulatory elements of fund finance deals
  • Collaborate with Relationship Managers, Legal, Compliance, and Operations to build consistent workflows
  • Advise on fund finance structures and regulations
  • Handle escalations for onboarding questions and complex structuring issues
  • Transaction Closings
  • Support and help coordinate the loan closing process by acting as a liaison between transaction teams, loan closers, legal counsel, and other internal partners
  • Ensure operational readiness for closing, including alignment on documentation requirements, system setup, and post-closing workflows

Transaction Activity

  • Optimize and simplify processes for handling transaction-level activities, such as borrowings, repayments, and other loan servicing actions
  • Minimize workload for client-facing teams by implementing streamlined, scalable procedures with well-defined handoffs

Collateral Monitoring and Reporting

  • Develop deep expertise in the firm’s collateral management system
  • Help streamline collateral data input, validation, and maintenance processes
  • Work with stakeholders to improve collateral reporting, data accuracy, and transparency

Process Improvement and Governance

  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, controls, and risk management across the HFF operating model
  • Document procedures and support training for relevant teams as processes evolve

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and 5 or more years' experience in Fund Finance or similar fund finance related discipline
  • 5 or more years of experience in fund finance or a related discipline

Preferred Qualifications

  • Direct experience supporting subscription credit facilities and other fund finance structures.
  • Strong understanding of fund structures, capital calls, collateral mechanics, and regulatory considerations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and influence without direct authority.
  • Process-oriented mindset with a track record of building or enhancing scalable operational frameworks.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
