Crisis and Communications Program Lead

Description

The Crisis, Communications & Project Coordination Program Lead is responsible for leading crisis and incident response efforts, delivering strategic internal communications, and coordinating cross‑functional projects for the Commercial segment.  This role ensures operational resilience, clear and consistent communication, and disciplined execution of initiatives by serving as a central coordination point across crisis management, communications, and project delivery activities.

Key Responsibilities

Crisis & Incident Management

  • Lead coordination and execution of incident response plans and lead teams during crisis events including communications, progress and measurement.
  • Develop, maintain, and govern incident management playbooks, communication plans, and standard operating procedures.
  • Create and maintain Business Continuity plans and support crisis readiness activities, including simulations and training.
  • Ensure timely incident updates, resolution tracking, impact analysis, and post‑incident reviews with documented lessons learned.

Project Coordination & Execution

  • Coordinate and support execution of crisis, communications, and operational initiatives in partnership with Project Managers and cross‑functional stakeholders.
  • Maintain project artifacts including plans, timelines, status reports, risks, issues, decisions, and action items.
  • Track milestones and dependencies; follow up on deliverables and escalate risks or blockers as appropriate.
  • Support change and implementation efforts by supporting communications, readiness activities, and stakeholder engagement.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 4+ years of experience in internal communications
• 3+ years of handling incidents or crisis management


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to convey complex information verbally and in writing with a clear and concise
  • Ability to simplify complex issues for diverse audiences
  • Experience working across teams to achieve goal
  • Strong change management and organizational development experience
  •  Proven track record in leading teams under high pressure situations
  •  Experience with incident management and communication tools e.g. Service Now and Everbridge
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Demonstrated ability to support multiple projects at once
