Summary:

The CRE Construction Operations Process Consultant is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing complex construction management systems and ensuring seamless integration across Commercial Service CRE Construction Loan Administration and Builder Finance. Acting as the primary liaison between the business, technology, internal partners, and external vendors, this position drives operational excellence through advanced and specialized consultative expertise to deliver innovative system capabilities, user and client support, risk management, issue resolution, and process optimization. Key responsibilities include managing vendor relationships, coordinating cross-functional communication, and ensuring compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and quality standards. Success in this role requires strong construction loan management experience, technical expertise, exceptional critical thinking skills, and the ability to lead high-impact initiatives that enhance system performance and support business objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for vendors, building and maintaining strong relationships while acting as the liaison between vendor representatives and internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of business processes, applications, and industry trends to ensure operational excellence and adaptability.  
    • Partner with business teams to analyze and identify technical or procedural improvements that drive efficiency. Triage, track, and resolve operational, system related, and customer issues, engaging vendors as needed for resolution.
  • Develop detailed business requirement documents for new initiatives, products, and process changes.
  • Identify and implement process improvements in vendor management, system integrations, and workflow redesign to adapt to evolving products, services, and technologies.
    • Coordinate and execute strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment of deliverables and timelines across units, vendors, and technology partners.
  • Manage user acceptance testing (UAT), including resource allocation, test scenario development and execution, and stakeholder communication at all levels of the organization.
    • Ensure data integrity and compliance by managing core system data elements in accordance with data governance standards.
  • Provide leadership by potentially managing a small team of Operations Process Consultants.
    • Performs other duties as assigned to support business objectives and operational excellence.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in commercial construction loan management, preferably including experience in system administration within a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with operating system administration and management, ideally within the commercial construction industry.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written) with the ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively across diverse teams and vendor relationships.
  • Strong leadership capability, including the ability to drive change and influence others.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, planning, and follow up
  • Ability to work independently on multiple priorities without compromising quality
  • Demonstrates confidence, assertiveness, professionalism, and ability to collaborate and interact with all levels within the organization
  • Excellence in customer service, highly motivated, focused and goal-oriented
    • Strategic and analytical thinker, able to anticipate challenges, assess risks, and develop innovative solutions.

Compensation Range:

93,000.00 - 189,000.00 Annual Salary

The compensation range represents the low and high end of the base compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.  Colleagues in this position are also eligible to participate in an applicable incentive compensation plan.  In addition, Huntington provides a variety of benefits to colleagues, including health insurance coverage, wellness program, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plan, paid leave programs, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
