Summary:

We are looking for a self-starter who wants to grow with us! The Consumer Loan Servicing Specialist 3 position works under minimum supervision in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment and performs a variety of assignments that are more complex requiring knowledge of daily operations within Consumer Loan Servicing’s Cash Processing group. This position oversees and supports the daily workflow of incoming payments, payoffs, MSP tasks, suspense oversight, and other mortgage and line of credit cashiering related processes. The Specialist 3 serves as a subject matter expert and point of contact for escalated, complex or exception-based requests. In addition, this position is responsible for identifying and implementing process improvements, monitoring service levels, and maintaining up-to-date departmental procedures. Positions in this job family must adhere to written policies and procedures to ensure compliance with investor, regulatory and internal requirements.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Loan payoff, payment, NSF reversal, ACH and cash adjustment processing

  • Handles more complex processing of consumer loan products and services including: account research, reconciliation, quality assurance, reporting, and monetary transactions

  • Trains new colleagues and cross trains existing colleagues

  • Completes QC testing for colleagues on team

  • Responds to internal and external customers via written correspondence

  • Participates in system upgrades and testing

  • Completes procedure updated and job aids

  • Works closely with various levels of management, risk, compliance, and audit

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Previous experience in a leadership or team lead role

  • 3 or more years of experience in a financial servicing role

  • 2 or more years of experience with mortgage servicing platform (MSP)

  • Familiarity with mortgage regulations, compliance, and investor guidelines.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications

  • Good written and verbal communication skills

  • Proven independent problem-solving skills

  • Good organizational skills

  • Excellent PC skills including specialized software such as product specific applications a plus

  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
