Summary:

The Chief Fiduciary Officer is a member of Wealth Management leadership team, reporting to the Director of Wealth Management, contributing to the overall strategy of the business segment in alignment with other business unit leaders. 

The Chief Fiduciary Officer has responsibility and oversight over governance matters including developing and implementing policies and procedures for all aspects of fiduciary services as well as oversight of fiduciary accounts administered by advisors and portfolio managers in accordance with regulatory requirements.

The position interfaces directly with internal risk, compliance and legal partners as well as external regulators and requires a sophisticated understanding of personal trust services, trust and estate administration, wealth management strategies and risk management.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides oversight of all fiduciary related matters within the risk framework of the Bank
  • Partners with risk, compliance, and legal partners in the implementation of the Bank’s fiduciary duties
  • Leads trust administration and portfolio management teams in alignment with the strategic plan continuously improving efficiency, effectiveness, and productivity of the business.
  • Manages Trust Services including Unique and Hard to Value Assets and Trust Tax.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 15+ years of experience in Wealth Management and deep understanding of all Personal Trust and Investment products and services, including applicable legal, compliance, and regulatory requirements associated with the same
  • Significant experience leading and managing a team of trust and investment professionals
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and negotiation skills with the ability to establish and communicate strategic vision to executive management and banking examiners

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree including JD, MBA, CPA, CFP
  • Effective sales management skills with proven organic growth track record
  • Strong risk and operational experience
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, projects, and assignments in a changing environment with competing priorities while meeting tight deadlines
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment

Compensation Range:

$170,000 - $350,000

The compensation range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and education.  Colleagues in this position are also eligible to participate in an applicable incentive compensation plan.  In addition, Huntington provides a variety of benefits to colleagues, including health insurance coverage, wellness program, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plan, paid leave programs, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
